Invitrogen™ Human Kallikrein 6 His-tag Recombinant Protein
Description
It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. It is recommended that sterile water (200 μL) be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.25 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV.
Kallikreins, including Kallikrein 6, are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. The KLK6 enzyme is regulated by steroid hormones. In tissue culture, the enzyme has been found to generate amyloidogenic fragments from the amyloid precursor protein, suggesting a potential for involvement in Alzheimer's disease.
