• Recognizes human IFNA1
• IFNA is a member of Type I IFN 1 family best known for antiviral activity

  • Interferon-alpha induces B cell maturation into plasma cells and immunoglobulin production

Process:

• Antibody specific for IFNA1 pre-coated onto microwells
• IFNA1 protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
• After extensive washing, another antibody specific for IFNA1 is added to detect captured IFNA1 protein
• For signal development, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-cojugated antibody is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidie (TMB) reagent
• Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
  • Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
