Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (71%), Rat (71%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-62157 (PA5-62157. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
HSD17B2 is capable of catalyzing the interconversion of testosterone and androstenedione, as well as estradiol and estrone. HSD17B2 also has 20-alpha-HSD activity. HSD17B2 uses NADH while EDH17B3 uses NADPH.
