This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53469 (PA5-53469. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

HIPK1 phosphorylates homeodomain transcription factors and may also function as a co-repressor for homeodomain transcription factors. The protein encoded by HIPK1 belongs to the Ser/Thr family of protein kinases and HIPK subfamily. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms.
