Invitrogen™ Human Endothelin 2 (aa 92-176) Control Fragment Recombinant Protein
Quantity:
100 μL
Unit Size:
100µL
Description
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (53%), Rat (53%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Endothelins are endothelium-derived vasoconstrictor peptides. Endothelin 2, also known as ET-2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EDN2 gene. The secreted peptide (∽2kD, 21 amino acids) is produced as a result of endothelin-2 precursor (∽20 kD) processing and functions as a ligand for endothelin receptors which upon peptide binding modulates a wide array of cell signaling events. Diseases associated with endothelins include aortic disease and patent ductus arteriosus.
