Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (86%), Rat (86%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-51640 (PA5-51640. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Factor B is a component of the alternative complement pathway. The protein is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular mass of 93 kDa. Factor B is cleaved by factor D into the Ba component (30 kDa) and the Bb (63 kDa). Bb together with C3b forms the alternative pathway C3 convertase C3bBb.
