Invitrogen™ Human CCL2 (MCP-1) Recombinant Protein
Description
CCL2 (human) Recombinant Protein, RP-8648, from Invitrogen.
Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 (MCP-1), also known as CCL2, is thought to be produced by injured or infected tissues. MCP-1 signals through G protein-coupled receptors, CCR2 and CCR4, to recruit memory T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. Recombinant human MCP-1 is a non-glycosylated protein containing 76 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 8.6 kDa. Purity is typically greater than 98% and endotoxin level less than 1 EU/ug. The expected biological activity (ED50) is determined by the ability to chemoattract human monocytes or THP-1 cells at concentrations of 4-15 ng/mL. The specific activity of this protein is 2.5x10^5 units/mg. Reconstitute using sterile water at 0.1mg/mL and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX sample. Store reconstituted material at -20°C and add 0.1% BSA for additional stability. Amino acid sequence: QPDAINAPVT CCYNFTNRKI SVQRLASYRR ITSSKCPKEA VIFKTIVAKE ICADPKQKWV QDSMDHLDKQ TQTPKT.
