Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (91%), Rat (91%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-55323 (PA5-55323. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the class-II aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. It is a mitochondrial enzyme that specifically aminoacylates aspartyl-tRNA. Mutations in this gene are associated with leukoencephalopathy with brainstem and spinal cord involvement and lactate elevation (LBSL).
