This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54816 (PA5-54816. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The protein encoded by this gene interacts with the cytoplasmic domains of amyloid beta precursor protein and amyloid beta precursor-like protein 2. This protein contains two phosphotyrosine binding domains, which are thought to function in signal transduction. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Alzheimer's disease. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
