Description
Description: The monoclonal antibody CDF4 recognizes human Golgin-97. Golgin-97, a GRIP domain protein member that was first identified as a Golgi complex autoantigen associated with Sjogren's syndrome. Golgin-97 is a peripheral membrane protein found on the trans face of the Golgi apparatus. The protein G family member, Arl1, mediates the binding of Golgin-97 to the Golgi membrane. Like all GRIP proteins, Golgin-97 functions in maintaining the integrity of the trans Golgi network. Golgin-97 has also been shown to function as a tethering molecule in the retrograde transport of proteins from the endosomes to the trans Golgi network. During poxvirus infection, Golgin-97 incorporates into virions and plays a role in viral replication and morphogenesis.Applications Reported: This CDF4 antibody has been reported for use in western blotting, immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections, immunohistochemical staining, and immunocytochemistry.Applications Tested: This CDF4 antibody has been tested by immunocytochemistry of fixed and permeabilized HeLa cells and can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg/mL. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.Filtration: 0.2μm post-manufacturing filtered.Specifications
