Description

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: human HepG2 whole cell, human PANC-1 whole cell, human SGC-7901 whole cell, rat lung tissue, rat kidney tissue, rat testis tissue, rat PC-12 whole cell, mouse lung tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse testis tissue, mouse spleen tissue, mouse thymus tissue. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

GNS is a lysosomal enzyme found in all cells. It is involved in the catabolism of heparin, heparan sulphate, and keratan sulphate. Deficiency of this enzyme results in the accumulation of undegraded substrate and the lysosomal storage disorder mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID (Sanfilippo D syndrome). Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID is the least common of the four subtypes of Sanfilippo syndrome.
