Description

A soluble form of basement membrane extracted from murine Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) tumors. It is free of viruses, including lactose dehydrogenase elevating virus (LDEV), sometimes found in this type of preparation.

• Routinely used for attachment and maintenance of human embryonic stem cells (hESC)
• Human ESCs have specific needs for attachment and maintenance and some lots of basement membrane extract may not provide adequate support
• Geltrex™ hESC-qualified reduced growth factor basement membrane matrix has been tested for support of hESC growth and pluripotency, therefore minimizing the need to test multiple lots
