Description
Growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 (GAB2), an adaptor protein, belongs to the Gab family and is involved in various biologic processes. Gab2 mainly mediates phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathways. Furthermore, Gab2 governs tumorigenic signaling and is a novel potential therapeutic target in leukemia, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and melanoma. Gab2 is the major 98-kDa phosphoprotein associated with SHP-2, PI 3-kinase, and Grb2 in normal human lymphocytes. (PMID: 32269703, PMID: 28842424, PMID: 28420432, PMID: 10849428)
