Description
AA Sequence of recombinant protein: discontinued. Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human EMAP-II. Anti-Human EMAP-II-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hEMAP-II by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human EMAP-II (500-P172G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hEMAP-II. Western Blot: To detect hEMAP-II by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hEMAP-II is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P172GBT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that is specifically induced by apoptosis, and it is involved in the control of angiogenesis, inflammation, and wound healing. The release of this cytokine renders the tumor-associated vasculature sensitive to tumor necrosis factor. The precursor protein is identical to the p43 subunit, which is associated with the multi-tRNA synthetase complex, and it modulates aminoacylation activity of tRNA synthetase in normal cells. This protein is also involved in the stimulation of inflammatory responses after proteolytic cleavage in tumor cells. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 20.Specifications
