Description

Used to prepare blood smear slides directly from a Vacutainer™ blood collection tube without taking off the cap. BD DIFF-SAFE™ Blood Dispensers are inserted into a Hemogard™ closure and pressed against a microsoft slide to deliver a blood drop without the risk of spillage.

The BD Vacutainer™ system is a closed system optimally designed for controlling pre-analytical variability throughout the specimen collection and handling process. The DIFF-SAFE™ blood dispenser prepares blood slides from a blood collection tube without removing the stopper from the tube.
  • Features a non-sterile cannula that inserts easily through the rubber stopper of a blood collection tube
  • Invert the tube and press the dispenser against a slide to dispense a drop to prepare a blood smear
  • Compatible with BD Vacutainer™ tubes with Hemogard™ closures
  • Limits exposure to blood samples, which may contain bloodborn pathogens
  • Keeps closure in place to prevent spills, leaks and contamination of samples
