Invitrogen™ DAPK2 Polyclonal Antibody
Description
This antibody will not cross-react with DAPK1. In Western blot applications, this antibody detects a band at ~42kDa. A suggested positive control is A431 cell lysate. PA5-19961 can be used with blocking peptide PEP-0086.
DAPK2 is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase that acts as a positive regulator of apoptosis, and is expressed in many tissue types. DAPK2 encodes a protein that belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family. This protein contains a N-terminal protein kinase domain followed by a conserved calmodulin-binding domain with significant similarity to that of death-associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK1), a positive regulator of programmed cell death. Overexpression of this gene was shown to induce cell apoptosis. It uses multiple polyadenylation sites.
