Antibody Cocktail

ApoTrack™ Cytochrome c WB Cocktail (Sku# 459160) provides a means to detect apoptosis while detecting release of cytochrome c, as well as a cytoplasmic and mitochondrial markers with the help of western blot. This cocktail provides a means to detect cytochrome c, as well as a cytoplasmic and mitochondrial markers Antibodies Cocktail Contains: Mouse anti Cyt. c monoclonal: Amount: 50 μg Working concentration: 1 μg/mL Mouse anti GAPDH monclonal: Amount: 5 μg Working concentration: 0.1 μg/mL Mouse anti PDH-E1-alpha monoclonal: Amount: 100 μg Working concentration: 2 μg/mL Mouse anti C-V-alpha monoclonal: Amount: 25 μg Working concentration: 0.5 μg/mL.

Cytochrome C is an electron transporting protein that resides within the intermembrane space of the mitochondria, where it plays a critical role in oxidative phosphorylation and the production of cellular ATP. Release of cytochrome C from the mitochondria to the cytosol is triggered by apoptotic stimuli. In the cytoplasm, the cytochrome C binds apoptotic protease activating factor which activates the apoptotic initiator procaspase 9. Cytosolic cytochrome C functions in the activation of caspase 3, an ICE family molecule that is a key effector of apoptosis.
