In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) MIP-2, rmKC, rmCXCL6, recombinant human (rh) ENA-78, recombinant rat (rr) CINC-2 alpha, rmCRG-2, rhNAP-2 is observed and less than 5% cross-reactivity with rrCINC-2 beta and rhMCP-3 is observed. Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS. Endoxin level is <0.20 EU per 1 μg of the antibody by the LAL method.

CXCL6 is a chemotactic for neutrophil granulocytes. It signals through binding and activation of its receptors (CXCR1 and CXCR2). In addition to its chemotactic and angiogenic properties, it has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (90-fold-higher when compared to CXCL5 and CXCL7).
