PeproTech CX3CL1 Polyclonal Antibody, Biotin, PeproTech®, Invitrogen™
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Brand: PeproTech 500-P98BT-25UG
Description
AA Sequence of recombinant protein: QHHGVTKCNI TCSKMTSKIP VALLIHYQQN QASCGKRAII LETRQHRLFC ADPKEQWVKD AMQHLDRQAA ALTRNG. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1). Anti-Human Fractalkine (CX3CL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hFractalkine by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Fractalkine (500-P98) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hFractalkine. Western Blot: To detect hFractalkine by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hFractalkine is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P98BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg
Chemokines are a family of proteins associated with the trafficking of leukocytes in immune surveillance and inflammatory cell recruitment. They are classified based on the positions of key cysteine residues. CX3CL1 is a CX3C chemokine known to induce adhesion and migration of leukocytes mediated by a membrane-bound and soluble form respectively. Recent experiments have shown that CX3CL1 can suppress the production of nitrous oxide, interleukin-6, and TNF-a in activated microglia and neuronal cells, suggesting that it may act as an intrinsic inhibitor against neurotoxicity by activated microglia. Its receptor, CX3CR1, also functions as a co-receptor for HIV-1 and HIV-2 envelope fusion and virus infection, which can be inhibited by CX3CL1.
