- Membrane application COSA CIP 96 is suitable for cleaning micro-, ultra- and nanofiltration plants as well as reverse osmosis plants in the pharmaceutical industry.
- NB Polypiperazine amide, polyvinyl difluoride and cellulose have limited resistance.
- COSA CIP 96 is not intended to be used with cellulose acetate membranes, as they will be irreversibly damaged.
- For pipelines, tanks, reactors and fermenters: Concentration: 1 to 4% COSA CIP 96 solution, Temperature: 5°C to 95°C (ideally 60°C to 80°C), Contact time: depends on the degree and the type of soiling.
- COSA CIP 96 can be used in combination with our COSA PUR product range. Concentration, temperature and cleaning time can be optimized by evaluation of respective cleaning trials.
- For alkaline foam cleaning, environmental hygiene and general plant cleaning: Concentration: 1.0 to 1.5% COSA CIP 96 and 0.5 to 1.0% COSA FOAM 40, Contact time: 10 to 20 minutes.
- For membrane application, following a suitable pre-rinse with water: Concentration 0.5 to 3.0% COSA CIP 96, Temperatures up to 85°C. Under certain conditions, higher concentrations and temperatures are permitted.
- After cleaning, all treated surfaces should be rinsed residue-free with water.
- Generally, the manufacturers' limitations, especially regarding pH and temperature stability of membranes and modules should be adhered to.
