Description

Calibrated to remove a consistent, precise amount of material. Pro-Lab Diagnostics™ Nichrome Inoculation Loops are economical nickel-chrome wire loops in a range of sizes from 1μL to 10μL. The standard and heavy gauge wire loops can be used with insulated holders (sold separately).

An inoculation loop is a simple tool used to gather and transfer microscopic organisms from a culture or broth plate. The small loop removes a consistent amount of inoculum by using surface tension. The inoculation loop is flame-sterilized before and after each use to eliminate cross-contamination between cultures. (The loop must be cooled after sterilization to avoid destroying the organisms.)
