Description

Many biological preparations begin with extractions that require coarse filtration to remove cellular debris. Bulk filtration using cheesecloth absorbs much of the extraction fluid, while membranes clog quickly. BioPrepNylon™ produces rapid bulk filtration at extraordinary flow rates. Polypropylene sieve holders (2 piece) holders with an adjustable metal tightener hold BioPrepNylon™ securely when processing samples. BioPrepNylon™ is loosely placed in a sieve holder to form a funnel. The sample is placed in the funnel, allowed to drain, and the layers of the BioPrepNylon™ are gently pressed together to collect all of the extraction liquid.
