Description
Cesium iodide is used as a beam splitter in Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometers. It is widely used as a scintillator in silicon photodiodes. It is utilized in calorimeters and detectors and also employed as phosphor in fluoroscopy equipments. It finds application in making cell windows and prisms in infrared spectroscopy.
