CD166 (ALCAM) Monoclonal Antibody (eBioALC48), eBioscience™, Invitrogen™
Rat Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Affymetrix eBioscience 14-1661-95
Description
Activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule (ALCAM; CD166) is a 105 kD cell-surface adhesion molecule belonging to the Ig superfamily of receptors. ALCAM is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, possessing five extracellular Ig domains, a transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail. ALCAM is involved in homotypic adhesion, as well as heterotypic adhesion with its natural ligand, CD6. A soluble isoform of ALCAM has been shown to inhibit homophilic adhesive interactions. ALCAM is expressed on a variety of cell types, including activated T and B cells, monocyte-derived dendritic cells, and thymic epithelial cells. ALCAM expression has also been used as a marker for the isolation of pluripotent stem cells.
CD166 (ALCAM) Monoclonal antibody specifically detects CD166 (ALCAM) in Mouse samples. It is validated for Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin)
