CD122 Mouse anti-Human, Brilliant Violet 786, Clone: Mik-β3, BD Optibuild™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: BD Biosciences 743118
Description
The Mik-β3 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD122. CD122 is also known as IL-2/15Rβbecause it is the shared p75 subunit (IL-12Rβ/IL-15Rβ) of heteromeric receptors for IL-2 and IL-15. CD122 is a 70-75 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on thymocytes, T cells, B cells, NK cells, monocytes, hematopoietic progenitor cells, fetal liver cells and stromal cells. The CD122 plays roles in the activation, differentiation and proliferation of various cell types including T cells, B cells and NK cells.
The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV786 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes. This dye is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 with an Ex Max of 405nm and an acceptor dye with an Em Max at 786nm. BD Horizon BV786 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in a filter used to detect Cy™7-like dyes (eg, 780/60nm filter). BV786 is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 and an acceptor dye with an emission maximum at 786 nm. BV786 offers a bright choice for the 6th detector off the violet laser.
