Invitrogen™ CACNG2/4/8 Monoclonal Antibody (N245/36), PerCP

Description
1 μg/mL of MA5-45586 was sufficient for detection of TARP Gamma2/4/8 in 20 μg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 35-55kDa. Does not cross-react with TARPGamma3. This antibody was formerly sold as clone S245-36.
Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-2 subunit, TARPGamma2 or Stargazin is encoded by the gene CACNG2 and is the transmembrane gamma subunit of the L-type calcium channel. Stargazin is in involved in regulation and trafficking of the ligand gated ion channel AMPA receptors. It is thought to play a role in learning and memory. Diseases associated with this gene include forms of deafness, Mental Retardation and childhood absnce epilepsy.
