Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

PA1-30599 detects NR5A1 from human samples. PA1-30599 has been successfully used in Western blot applications. The PA1-30599 immunogen is: Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of human NR5A1 Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional activator involved in sex determination. The encoded protein binds DNA as a monomer. Defects in this gene are a cause of XY sex reversal with or without adrenal failure as well as adrenocortical insufficiency without ovarian defect.
