PA3-204 detects Nociceptin in human, rat and mouse samples. PA3-204 has successfully been used in immuncytochemical and immunohistochemical (paraffin) procedures. The PA3-204 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the amino acids FGGFTGARKSARKLANQ of Nociceptin.

Nociceptin is the ligand of the opioid receptor-like receptor (OPRL1). It may act as a transmitter in the brain by modulating nociceptive and locomotor behavior. May be involved in neuronal differentiation and development.
