Dendritic Cells Rat anti-Mouse, Clone: MIDC-8, Invitrogen™
Rat Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen MA182248
Description
Rat anti Mouse dendritic/interdigitating cells antibody, clone MIDC-8 recognizes an antigen in the cytoplasm of rat dendritic cells as distinct spots near the nucleus. Rat anti Mouse dendritic/interdigitating cells antibody, clone MIDC-8 does not stain thymic epithelial cells which are the major contamits in thymic dendritic cell preparations.
In normal tissue this antibody identifies dendritic cells and a proportion of B lymphocytes. Evidence in pathological tissue and functional studies suggests it binds to an epitope expressed by antigen presenting cells. Within the macrophage/dendritic cell populations the epitope seen by RFD1 is coexpressed with RFD7 by a subset of cells that exhibit suppressive activity on T cell stimulation.
