Caspase 1 Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Rat, Polyclonal, Invitrogen™
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen PA126382
Description
PA1-26382 detects Caspase 1 from human, rat, and mouse samples. PA1-26382 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) procedures. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with all 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. The PA1-26382 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the second quarter of human Caspase 1 protein.
Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases that are key mediators of programmed cell death or apoptosis. The precursor form of all caspases is composed of a prodomain, and large and small catalytic subunits. The active forms of caspases are generated by several stimuli including ligand-receptor interactions, growth factor deprivation and inhibitors of cellular functions.
