APOE Mouse anti-Human, Clone: E6D7, Invitrogen™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen MA191063
Description
MA1-91063 detects Apo E from human samples. MA1-91063 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue), immunohistochemistry (paraffin tissue), Western blot, immunoprecipitation applications. Staining of paraffin sections may be significantly imporoved by either 1) formic acid (70%) for 10-30 minutes at room temperature or 2) heat induced epitope retrievl with buffers such as citrate. The predicted molecular weight of MA1-91063 is 38 kDa. The MA1-91063 immunogen is synthetic peptide spanning the polymorphic amino acid position 158 of ApoE. Store at 4°C short term. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Apolipoprotein E has been shown to enhance the risk for the development of Alzheimeris disease. Mutations in the APP gene in conjunction with the influence of ApoE appears to influence amyloid metabolism. The ApoE antibody (D6E10) reacts with the E2, E3 and E4 isoforms of apolipoprotein E. ApoE4 can be identified by Western blot analysis using clones E6D7 and D6E10.
