Description
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Adropin is involved in the regulation of glucose homestasis and lipid metabolism. It is a secreted protein encoded by the Energy Homeostasis Associated gene (ENHO) found in the brain and liver. In the liver, the protein has been found to increase in response to high-fat foods and decrease after fasting. The protein seems to play a role in controlling the activity of other metabolic genes, specifically those involved in the production of lipids from carbohydrates.
