Thrombospondin-1, clone: A6.1, eBioscience™
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Brand: Affymetrix eBioscience 14-9756-80
Code : NEW
Additional Details : Weight : 0.09500kg
DescriptionDescription: The A6.1 monoclonal antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat thrombospondin-1, a member of the thrombospondin family of extracellular calcium-binding proteins. Thrombospondin-1 is a secreted glycoprotein that was first discovered in activated platelets but is also expressed by endothelial cells, adipocytes, fibroblasts, macrophages, monocytes, and smooth muscle cells. Thrombospondin-1 functions by binding members of the extracellular matrix such as fibronectin, integrins, and heparin, and its signaling is mediated through activation of the TGF beta signaling pathway. Thrombospondin-1 has been shown to be involved in angiogenesis, inflammation, osteogenesis, cell proliferation, and synaptogenesis during neural development.Applications Reported: This A6.1 antibody has been reported for use in immunoprecipitation, western blotting, immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections, microscopy, ELISA, and immunocytochemistry.Applications Tested: This A6.1 antibody has been tested by immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded human tissue using high pH antigen retrieval and can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg/mL. This A6.1 antibody has been tested by immunocytochemistry of formaldehyde or methanol fixed and permeabilized human cells and can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg/mL. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.Filtration: 0.2μm post-manufacturing filtered.
