Description

Cluster of Differentiation 4 (CD4), recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in analysis of protein structure, studying protein-protein interactions, and cell biology research applications. It can also be used as an immunogen, or as a protein standard.

• Activity: 1. Measured by its ability to bind to HIV-1 gp120 in a functional ELISA; 2. Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cells; when 5 x 10⁴ cells/well are added to CD4 coated plates (2.5μg/mL and 100μL/well), approximately 60-80% will adhere specifically after 60 minutes at 37°C
• Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween 80
• Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2mg/mL or lower; aliquot and use as soon as possible
