Description

Description

Thermo Scientific™ Pierce Western Blotting Filter Papers are pre-cut cotton sheets for wet or semi-dry, passive or electrophoretic transfer of proteins from polyacrylamide gels (SDS-PAGE) to PVDF, nitrocellulose, or other membranes.

Sheets of blotting paper are necessary components of transfer sandwiches and cassettes that typically must be assembled for various kinds of protein or nucleic acid, gel-to-membrane, transfer protocols. High-quality Pierce Western Blotting Filter Papers are available as standard-thickness and extra-thick sheets that are pre-cut for convenience with mini gels.

Highlights:

  • High-quality – clean cotton cellulose fiber paper manufactured with additive-free ultrapure water to eliminate sources of background signal and artifacts

  • Easy to use – pre-cut filter paper sheets in several convenient sizes for use with most mini gel sizes, tank transfer cassettes and semi-dry blotters

  • Two thicknesses – choose standard-thickness paper for traditional procedures or extra-thick filter paper for high capacity blotting or to eliminate using multiple sheets

  • Validated – tested and recommmend for use with protein methods, including the Thermo Scientific Pierce Fast Semi-Dry Blotter (Part No. 88217)
