Format EDTA-free
Description Pierce Protease Inhibitor Tablets, EDTA-free

Pierce Protease Inhibitor Tablets protect proteins from proteolytic degradation through inhibition of the serine-proteases, cysteine-proteases, aspartic acid-proteases and aminopeptidases that are typically present in cellular lysate samples. The tablets contain AEBSF, aprotinin, bestatin, E-64, leupeptin and pepstatin A and are available in formulations with or without EDTA, a metalloproteinase inhibitor. The EDTA-free formulation has added compatibility with IMAC purification methods and 2D gel electrophoresis. Stable for storage at 4°C for up to 12 months, each large tablet is sufficient for 50mL of solution and each mini tablet is sufficient for 10mL of solution. Both sizes and formulations of tablet are suitable for reagent preparation prior to protein extraction from tissue and cultured cells.

  • Economical −both large and mini tablets are most cost effective than other commercially available formulations for equivalent volumes
  • Easy−to−use − the refrigerator−stable tablets are easily dissolved in buffers and lysis reagents
  • Two formulation − available with or without EDTA
  • Compatible − use with homebrew or commercially available cell lysis reagents and Thermo Scientific Protein Assays
