Description

Description

Description: The monoclonal rat IgM, kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin. Applications Reported: Rat IgM Isotype Control Purified has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and immunoglobulin ELISA. Applications Tested: Rat IgM Isotype Control has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions. It should be used at the same concentration as the experimental antibody. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE. Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

Rat IgM is an immunoglobulin M isotype antibody produced by B cells in rats. It plays a crucial role in the immune system by recognizing and neutralizing antigens, such as bacteria and viruses. Rat IgM has been extensively studied and is widely used in research applications, including immunology, microbiology, and biotechnology. It is commonly used as a control in experiments, as well as a diagnostic tool for detecting infectious diseases and autoimmune disorders. Researchers have developed various techniques for producing and purifying Rat IgM, including hybridoma technology, protein A/G chromatography, and affinity chromatography. Rat IgM is a valuable tool in the field of immunology, and its use has contributed to a better understanding of the immune system and the development of new treatments for various diseases.
