Description: This 4SM95 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD4 molecule, a 55kDa cell surface receptor expressed by a majority of thymocytes, a subpopulation of mature T cells, and dendritic cells. CD4 binds to MHC class II on the surface of antigen presenting cells and plays an important role both in T cell development and in optimal functioning of mature T cells. In T cells, CD4 associates with protein tyrosine kinase p56lck through its cytoplasmic tail.The 4SM95 monoclonal antibody is not recommended for immunohistochemistry of frozen mouse tissue. For detection of mouse CD4 using immunohistochemistry of frozen tissue please refer to alternate products Anti-Mouse CD4 Purified (cat. 14-0041 and 14-0042).Applications Reported: This 4SM95 antibody has been reported for use in immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections, and microscopy.Applications Tested: This 4SM95 antibody has been tested by immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded mouse tissue using low pH antigen retrieval and can be used at less than or equal to 20 μg/mL. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.eFluor® 660 is a replacement for Alexa Fluor® 647. eFluor® 660 emits at 659 nm and is excited with the red laser (633 nm). Please make sure that your instrument is capable of detecting this fluorochome.Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 668 nm; Laser: Red Laser.Filtration: 0.2μm post-manufacturing filtered.
