Description

Description

Description: The BV10A4H2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD135, also known as Flk2/Flt3. A member of the tyrosine kinase receptor family, this 135-150 kDa molecule is expressed by multipotential progenitor cells including primitive B cell and myelomonocytic progenitors in fetal liver and adult bone marrow. Applications Reported: The BV10A4H2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This BV10A4H2 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of REH cell line. This can be used at 5 μL (0.5 μg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

This gene encodes a class III receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates hematopoiesis. The receptor consists of an extracellular domain composed of five immunoglobulin-like domains, one transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic kinase domain split into two parts by a kinase-insert domain. The receptor is activated by binding of the fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand to the extracellular domain, which induces homodimer formation in the plasma membrane leading to autophosphorylation of the receptor. The activated receptor kinase subsequently phosphorylates and activates multiple cytoplasmic effector molecules in pathways involved in apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells in bone marrow. Mutations that result in the constitutive activation of this receptor result in acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
