Annex 1 states that garments should be visually checked for cleanliness and integrity immediately prior to and after gowning and also be checked upon exit. How do you check glove integrity today? In normal conditions, it is very difficult to see a breach of your outer glove when double gloving. The best way to increase the chance of detecting a breach is to make it easily and quickly visible. Using a double-gloving system that includes a double-gloving Biogel™ Tech Indicator™ System is the right way to go. It uses color science to develop a breach indication system that makes over-glove breaches appear extremely clear, fast, and large to the wearer or other staff when in contact with any type of fluid.

1. Indicator™ System

Sterile over- and under-gloves designed to be worn together to form a Biogel™ Tech Indicator™ System. The matching blue Biogel™ PI Tech Indicator™ Under-glove is uniquely engineered to work together with the over-glove to maximize visibility of and speed of detection of an over-glove breach when in contact with fluid.

2. Triple-Bagged Heat Sealed Packaging

The triple-bagged packaging complies with critical environment hygiene protocols and ensures simplicity of use as the layers of packaging can be removed throughout different airlocks.

3. Leading 0.4 AQL

Biogel™ Tech gloves are manufactured to the highest quality standards with the fewest allowable defects. A lower AQL indicates that the gloves are subject to stricter quality control, resulting in a reduced likelihood of defects such as holes, tears, or contamination.

4. Polyisoprene

Polyisoprene is known for its excellent flexibility and elasticity, which allows the gloves to fit snugly and comfortably on the hand. This results in improved dexterity and a more natural feel during use. Polyisoprene has a softer texture compared to nitrile and polychloroprene, contributing to a more comfortable fit, especially during prolonged wear. Polyisoprene gloves are a popular alternative to latex gloves, as they are made from synthetic rubber and do not contain the proteins that can cause latex allergies. This makes them suitable for individuals who may have sensitivities to latex, while also providing comfort.
